CityArt gallery - 248 Main Street in Point Arena - is again having its Holiday Store event. It will be held from December 1-21, 2006. You are invited to use this opportunity to sell your handmade art and craft works. Opening Party will be Friday December 1st 5-7pm bring a food item. Each person may have: - up to six feet of wall display space or - a maximum of three feet (3 ft. x 3 ft.) of table space. There is no entry fee for this show. It is open to all local artists and craft people.
These are the Holiday Store guidelines: 1. You must do at least one 4-hour shift of tending the gallery.
2. The gallery will take 25% of the sale price so remember to add this to your price. If you are unable to work a 4 hour shift the gallery will take 40%.
3. Optional- Please bring some holiday food (cookies, candies, fruits, nuts, etc.) on your shift. We'd like to have some sort of snack available during the whole show for the (happy, buying) customers.
4. Any paper or plastic bags (for wrapping purchases) you can donate would be appreciated.
5. Please feel free to bring music.
To participate:
- A RESERVATION FORM is available here. To reserve your space we need to receive that form from you by November 20th. You can mail the form to: Ling-Yen Jones, ph 884-9536 Po Box 352 Point Arena CA 95468 or email the form to lingyen@juno.com . If you want additional space, let me know in your note or email. Your choices Extra space, if it is available, will be allotted on a first-come first-served basis. PLEASE SEND THE FORM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
- You must bring your work to the gallery November 29th 11am -3pm and/or November 30th 3-7pm. If you are mailing in your work please include funds to return it. The gallery will be open from 12 noon to 4PM Monday to Sunday. Opening/ Christmas party is December 1 from 5-7 bring a dish.
- Each item must be priced with a sticker or tag containing your initials. - PLEASE have the inventory sheet(s) which are included in this form prepared so that the gallery can track the items.
- Think of displaying your work with a decorated table display.
- Also, think of having a small sign for your table or wall space displaying your name and address and information about your work.
- The gallery has only a few tables. We ask that if you are having a table space that you bring in a table. Extra space (over the amount allotted) on your table can be used to accommodate someone's work that doesn't have a table to bring in.
- Item pickup is Thursday, December 21 after 4pm till 6pm, Friday 22, 11am-1pm, or by special arrangement.
Remember, this is an opportunity for the community to do their shopping for presents so think about Christmas gift items in a range of prices. Please invite and encourage your friends and neighbors to stop by at the Holiday store. Bring in your own Christmas list. We expect the Holiday Store will host the finest and most unusual of Holiday gifts.
